last tuesday (yup last valentine's to) i was stuck in traffic when i noticed a makati traffic personel talking with a driver sa side ng road. the driver was saying that sa LTO P150 lang ung disobeying a traffic sign bakit daw sa makati P500. sabi ni traffic enforcer may ordinance daw and their (makati) rates are really different from the ones na pinapatupad ng LTO/MMDA. traffic personel showed driver the list of violations and their corresponding fines.
so indi na pala pwedeng gawing guide ung table of fines sa LTO website?

February 17th, 2006 10:46 AM #3yep thats true.... afaik pati sa ibang big cities ganun din ang rate. yung disobeying traffic lights, 02-03 violation yun. 500 talaga yun. may rates pa nga sila sa pag claim ng license mo eh... 1 tip... always check for the date kung kelan nilagay sinulat yung tvr. yung akin i was flagged down april 1 pero nakasulat sa tvr, march 1. kaya pinapabayad pa ako ng overdue. badtrip no?

dapat nga taasan pa talaga para madeter ung mga usual violators..
kung mahuli ka naman ng wala kang kasalanan.. pwede ka naman magreklamo sa opisina nila.

afaik, yung rates ng lto applicable pag sila nanghuhuli. yung mga violations and corresponding rates ay pwedeng gawin ng mga cities and municipalities through an ordinance. this is part of their local autonomy.
