    Hinde ko maintindihan ito.

"Also affected are those who left as tourists, students, and businessmen, who have not traveled since 2014, the year that passports issued in 2009 expired. These individuals, Cato said, are required to submit their birth certificates for passport renewal."

eh di dapat hinde required si Yebo ng BC.

I'm just saving myself from having to go back in case. I've dealt with so many incompetent government bureaucrats over the years and i've learned that fighting stupid people is always a lost battle even before it starts.

This. Applies to the private sector as well. Especially if your boss is incompetent and indecisive AF.

Ayan... di na kailangan BC para mag renew.

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, January 15) — The country's top diplomat says birth certificates are unnecessary when renewing passports.

In a message on social media Tuesday, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Secretary Teodoro "Teddy Boy" Locsin Jr. said he was signing an order saying applicants would no longer need to present their birth certificates when renewing their passports.

"Old passport is more than sufficient," he said in the Tweet.

Here we go again. I have an appointment in September at SM Aura. Thank God DFA opened temporary offsite offices and I was able to get a slot.

For all those who renewed recently, how long from your appointment date did you get your passport? This is a big risk for me because I need to fly out in October. Hopefully, I get my passport in one week.

BTW, what a difference 5 years make. Last time I renewed in 2017, I remember filling out forms manually in DFA. Now it's all online, then they send a PDF for print out with QR code. Also, you need to pay for it na before the appointment. Now, I am wondering, how do people without credit cards survive? Almost everything is paid online

Mine took a while months ago. I remember my parents passports only took a week last year.
