Warm lang naman ang temperature daw in mid day with no aircon...

CEB Advisory - One passenger aboard Cebu Pacific flight 5J575 fainted while the aircraft was waiting for clearance to take-off yesterday (Friday, June 16, 2017) at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The flight was bound for Cebu. Said passenger was given emergency medical assistance onboard while an ambulance was called.

Following reports from our crew that the cabin temperature was warm, Cebu Pacific offered passengers water and immediately arranged for a change in aircraft for the comfort of our passengers.

Our cabin crew and ground personnel assisted all passengers and handled the transfer to the replacement aircraft. The flight departed Manila at about 732pm, and landed safely in Cebu at 852pm.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience these incidents may have caused and appeal for understanding.

Delikado yang ginawa nila. That many people crammed ina tight space. Buti hindi nagpanic mga tao, it could have ended really bad.

Why'd they need to shut off the cooling? Ganun ba kalakas sa fuel yung a/c?

    DOTr ADVISORY:

This pertains to a video posted on Facebook showing an incident last night when passengers of Cebu Pacific Flight 5J 575 bound for Cebu in panic, while forcing airline personnel to let them deplane from the aircraft.

Please be informed that the Department of Transportation (DOTr), through its Undersecretary for Aviation Capt. Manuel Antonio Tamayo, has already instructed the Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) to look into this and act accordingly.

In a statement, Atty. Wyrlou Samodio, Chief Legal Officer of CAB, has directed Cebu Pacific to investigate the matter thoroughly and submit an incident report within one (1) hour from notice.

Should DOTr-CAB find out that Cebu Pacific Flight 5J 575 went beyond the prescribed 2-hour period to deplane its passengers due to long tarmac delays, Cebu Pacific shall be held liable for the penalty prescribed under the regulation. Further, if found to have violated the regulation, the pilot shall likewise be held liable as he has the obligation to order the deplaning. CAB shall indorse the case of the pilot to CAAP for appropriate action, since the latter exercises jurisdiction over airmen.

Rest assured that DOTr-CAB will objectively monitor this incident and shall update the public of any development.

    Thank you.

Last time i flew w/ cebu pac out of davao city delayed sila by 10 mins. Sabi nila green light lang din from air controller ang hingi nila. Dunno how true that is.

Sa 10 mins na yon naka a/c naman kami

The best bet talaga na hindi ma delay iyong early morning flight. Pero pati iyon may chance pa din ma delay

Did this come out in the local news?

The footage taken by one of the passengers on board this affected flight, clearly shows the cabin is foggy with a fume event, a condition when bleed air used for cabin pressurization and air conditioning in a pressurized aircraft to be contaminated or damaged, allowing contaminated air to flow in the cabin.

In the interview with passengers, they said the smoke was so full in the cabin that it was impossible to see, and some passengers reportedly showed symptoms such as headache and shortness of breath due to the smell of the combusted fuel flowing directly into the cabin.
