March 7th, 2007 09:28 AM #15actually, the job wasn't done by any of the carnapping syndicates. nor was it for any election campaigning fund raising.
i know quite a few people in the chop-chop hotspots, and i told them to look out for the said vehicle. they said they will keep me posted, but said it was unlikely that a car as new as that would be brought over to be dissected to raise money/funds/whatever.
and then i got the news that the lost mazda three was found:
there was just an internal feud, and one of those involved took the car away and kept it somewhere. the owner's keys were gone, so they know it was an inside job. everybody took a lie detector test, only one failed.
the-one-who-failed took them to where the car was turned over for "safekeeping", and the "safekeeping guy" didn't want to release the car without any form of "safekeeping fee". i believe his in jail now.
moral of the story:
1. don't ever ever ever take your friend's/family member's car to get even.
2. don't ever ever ever ask for "safekeeping fee" :naughty2:
3. lie detectors work.
