What if you are just the driver of the car and you're not even the registered owner when the carnapping takes place? Papipirmahin ka pa rin ba? Do these criminials even check kung ikaw nga registered owner?

Actually lumang modus na ito. Gawain ito ng mga tiwaling TMG officials mismo some years back. They take you to Crame at doon mismo nagaganap ang pirmahan ng deed of sale.

That Modus Operandi is not so clever, IMO. tulad ng sabi ng iba.

    1. pede mo ibahin ang pirma mo.

    2. nasa owner pa rin ang orig OR/CR.

    3. by the time makapirma ka sa deed of sale na yun, ang daling i-timbre sa crame na na-carnap ang kotse mo. So kung may mag check ng prospective buyer, huli agad sila.
