When I pass by SLEX, I never fail to see a Toyota delivery convoy snaking through the shoulder lane.

this problem isn't isolated in the Philippines. all cars coming from the factory will end up with nicks and bangs (or in some cases, fender benders). The problem is the customers never knew what happened to the vehicles.

I saw one CNN special report way back (2000?) discussing this issue. There was a middle-aged woman who was being interviewed about her brand new car. She accidentally found out that her right rear fender was worked on (masilya spots) when she took out the side covers that got wet her groceries.

I believe they were pushing for the US congress to pass a law that will give the buyer the right to full disclosure of the car's history.

you really can't blame the company for this. it's the drivers talaga. i knew a few of them noon nag-work pa sa Honda wife ko. most of them are undergrads or unemployed for so long who have a beef in the world. kaya dun nila nilalabas sa bagong tsikot ang galit nila

May na-encounter rin akong ganyan, sa Isuzu Cavite din, yung demo unit nila may gasgas sa rear left door ng Sportivo. Then nakita ko yung manager and a service man, siguro yung painter yun, then pinapa-check kung pano gagawin nilang remedyo sa damage. I think nangyayari din to sa lahat ng dealership, hindi lang mahalata kasi pulido naman ang pagkakagawa!

Sorry po for kung binuhay ko itong lumang thread, nakabili po kasi ako ng brand new Suzuki Swift na nakita ko na repainted pala 3 months matapos ko mabili (di po halata nung sa pre-delivery inspection, pero nahalata na lang nung hinugasan ko yung kotse under flourescent light.) Di masyadong buffed yung pintura sa right rear bumper area kaya nakita, tsaka may parang may konting masilya yung right rear quarter panel. Sa mga naka-experience na ng ganito, ano po ginawa nyo sa case nyo?
