Mr. jpc55, i have to clarify something...i know that you are not directly who i talked to when this incident happen, so for everybody's comprehension, let me clear myself here.

We were asking them if we can release the unit the morning of the following day instead so we could perform the standard pre-delivery inspection but the customer insisted that the unit be released that day beacuse of "feng shui", so we did. Right after they gave the downpayment in the form of manager's check, our cashier left and went home since it was really past our regular business hours.

yes, the "feng shui thing" is correct, that we have to release the car, preferrably white, on friday only or january next year. so i have given Leo, your sales agent two options, if you cannot make it on friday, we will not get the car this year(2008), instead, january is our next target. It was clear to him that it was (1) Friday, or (2) next year, january. But he was so persistent that he keeps on calling me while I'm very busy on our store in baclaran mall (it was december, peak season). He told me that he will be going to HARI plant to get my unit if it was ok with me to wait even until late tonight. since he was so certain that he will make it and the cashier is also willing to wait, so the deal was processed. “nagmamakaawa sa amin dahil wala pa raw shang benta for the month of December, kaya kahit gabihin na ipoprocess nya.”

We explained that when the vehicle is registered, the year model that will appear will be 2009. Understandably, the unit we were giving was a 2008 production since it was still 2008 that time, but is an 09 model. An 09 production would come into our country around 3 months after considering shipment.

you immediately informed us that you can change it right there and then? If that’s the case then why do we have to wait from 8:30 to 12am if right there and then you can immediately change it to 2009 model? We shouldn’t have this problem if you changed it immediately! Aside from Leo, no one ever talked to us that night.

please do not mislead the readers of this forum, it was in the financing contract and insurance policy and the vehicle's warranty booklet that the "2008" model is stated. it was written: Vehicle purchased: 2008 Grand Starex Tci. we asked Leo about this, i told him that prior to our deal, i repeatedly remind him to check all the necessary documents, and that i will not accept it if it was written "2008 model". He assured me that the unit was 09 model definitely since it was already late december. I told him to change it to 09 before i signed it. we do not immediately ask for refund! Leo called the person who made the mortgage contract who was just in front of the building, waiting for a ride. but when they saw Leo calling them to go back, they just ignored him, instead, they hurriedly ride a taxi because they are going to a party that night. The agent was really determined to get a sale, so he called the VP Norine Tiangco and ask what he could do about it, but norine negatively aswered with "that was really an 08 model, we couldn't do anything about it". that's the time we decided to get the refund of our downpayment.

This "model" scenario happened to us back then with our strada 2008 (purchase on January 2008), the only difference here is that the papers we signed, insurance policy and vehicle warranty booklet were all with "2008 model". it was with the LTO or/cr that was reflected "2007". so the diamond motors made the correction. Since all signed documents were 2008 model, it was easily changed to 2008. This was the hassle that we are avoiding.

But with hyundai, it is understandable that the production year was 2008, we are not dumb to know that. and why do i have to sign the contract with 08 model if you could change that into 09 that night? It was your employees who chose to go on a party instead of reprinting another mortgage contract. I would definitely chose to sign papers without any hassles of changing it later on.

Customer insisted and called the police and media and according to our sales people, threatened to break our showroom glass panels. After being able to contact our cashier, we instructed her to return to the dealership to refund the downpayment of the customer. Around 1:00AM, the MC was released to the customer.

Break the glass…correct I told your agent that I will make it, mabuti nasabi mo yan, dahil isa pa yang patunay na WALANG HUMAHARAP sa amin.

And correction mr. jpc55, we do not abruptly ask for refund when we saw an 08 model which was supposedly an 09 as what was earlier agreed upon! we gave you time to correct it but your employees refused. From 8:30 until 12:00am Leo keeps on calling all involved persons but no one wanted to talk to him about this. Until I told him that our lawyer and media is on their way, that’s the only time Norine confirm that they have nothing to do with it. That span of time (8:30-12am) was an evidence that we have given you time to correct it. another thing is that don't blame us on having your cashier return at around 1:00am, since your agent was the one who insisted to release it on that day, even your cashier confirm that she was willing to wait until the unit arrived that night.

we already gave him options, but he was very determined. You already know our condition before you enter this agreement: (1) Friday or (2)january 2009. there are so many hyundai dealers out there, why do i have to insist to get the unit from you? it was your agent who pushed the deal that day!

A BITAG personnel can stand as witness against all lies that jpc55 posted.

Sorry for this very long post. I just have to clarify this. thanks

sorry for my terminology...i dont know how to call it, financing or mortgage contract. all i know is that's the contract to be submitted to the bank.

    pahabol nga pala:

i asked leo if i could have the contract photocopied but he said na "mayayari sha pag nagbigay sha ng kopya". halatang may ginagawang anomalya ang JUNO cars.

I dont have any reason para siraan itong company na to dahil matagal nang sira. What is stated here are all facts that happened.

I guess additional lessons I learned:

    1. to always match the production year with the current year. SAs should really be taught not to alter the dates of the model year and that of the production year to avoid confusion later on. Anyone checking the VIN and the model year on the CR/OR will see a mismatch.
    2. never buy a car late in the evening. the other support groups (financing, registration, mechanical) and management are probably long gone.
    3. dont give the dp over until we've gone through the PDI and checking of documents

Thanks to maimaicomp for bringing this to the attention of all Tsikoteers.

that's exactly the same lessons i've learned.

kaya nga last february ng kumuha ako ng car, walang ng hassle, smooth transaction.

just want to add sa lessons i learned, hindi na ako kukuha ng sasakyan ng December and January para safe sa year model.

Following Feng Shui is supposed to make your life harmonious or something to that effect. But in this case, the disharmony caused is opposite of what Feng Shui is all about. Common sense is still an important factor.

JPC55, sa tingin mo ba tatanggapin ng bangko na gawing 2009 model ang OR and Cr ng sasakyan kung ang hawak nilang financing contract e 2008 model? konting utak naman bro common sense lang yan. tsk tsk tsk.. kung cnasabi mong papalitan ung yr model sa contract right there and then bakit inabot ng umaga ung customer nyo sa showroom nyo? ibang klase talaga kayo!
