Might segue on the current topic, but would just like to ask if you have ever experience your PIN password in your ATM forgotten...now I went to the BDO branch where it was opened and was told they don't RESET the PIN and I need to request for a new ATM card to set a new password.....GAnun ba tlaga how about in other bank do they practice the same way?

when the atm wouldn't accept my pin, i went into the (non-bdo) bank to complain. after a few minutes of investigation, they said that my card degraded, and that they will issue me a new one.
they discarded the old card and gave me a new card with different pin.
i asked the manager if i can change this new pin and re-cycle my old pin. he advised me that it ain't possible.
but i did it anyway, commanding the computer to change my new card's pin, into my old pin. and we were both surprised because the computer accepted it.
it's been a year already, and i have no problems with my account.

Changing your pin is necessary. Changing your pin made your banking more secure... bravo white coat!

does this news affect ordinary depositors in any way? o bad rep lang sa BDO as a bank dahil sa supposed "rogue employee/s" nila?

Some negative image will undoubtedly be thrown at BDO, pero short term at negligible yan considering na na-clear na din naman sila along with BPI. Si RCBC before and masama talaga impact and costly for them.

doesn't affect depositors

the fake bank certificate issue can make them look bad a little pero lilipas din yan

medyo nakalimutan na nga ung nangyari sa RCBC

mas grabe pa yun ginamit talaga ung bangko pang receive ng stolen money from Bangladesh central bank
