Keep the jeepneys off the road and in a museum.

Reyes also added that, beside stimulating local sales, replacing the older vehicles with new ones is good for the environment, thanks to fuel-efficient systems that new cars are equipped with.
This is only going to be good for the environment if all carmakers are truly "green", if we dispose of hazardous materials from old cars properly, etc.

It must be nice to visit the dreamworld they're living in.

Heck, real wages have not increased since the year 2000. Income distribution has barely improved since 1986.
I would agree not all but a good percentage of them will progress as the country will progress. Heck, I know of a janitor who goes to work everyday commuting, then he had a bike for a few years and now he has a motorcycle. They need not buy new cars. They could still buy second hand cars and the former owners of those cars will buy new ones.

Lot of workers are still in minimum wages but a lot had increased their wages by looking at other opportunities here and abroad.

    But this is OT already.
