February 25th, 2008 03:45 AM #33Actually, kung ang kilala nyo ay mababait na Koreano then well and good pero kung may ma-encounter kayo na KUPS at SALBAHENG koreano lalo na marami nyan dito sa Pinas tulad nang na-ishare ko, dapat talaga wag palagpasin ang mga ganyang tao.
Ibig ba sabihin porkit iba iba-tao at iba iba kultura, papayag ka na lang ba na sigaw sigawan o sindak sindakin ng mga Koreanong ito miski wala kang ginagawang masama sa kanila???? Mag-aral sila sa kultura ng pinoy no bago sila pumunta dito no, alamin nila ano ang acceptable behavior at hindi--
E kung bibisita ka nga lang, dapat magresearch ka muna sa bansa na yun, eh yun pang titira ka hindi ka man lang magresearch sa ugali ng kulturang pakikisamahan mo???
Ipakita natin sa kanila na dapat lumugar sila, hindi yung sila na ang nakiki-tira dito, sila pa tong mayayabang at offensive. Mali yon miski san mo tignan!

Bakit nga ba nagkalat ang mga Koreans sa Pinas ngayon? Sa MOA, ang dami, lalo na sa Supermart. Sa Leveriza, ang dami rin dun at sa Baguio.
Mga legal ba stay nila rito? Mas marami na ata sila kaysa sa mga negosyanteng Bumbay.

Anyway, we can't generalize Koreans as arrogant and "oppressive" by witnessing 2 or 3 incidences. Some of them don't really speak good English and can end up in trouble by just trying to express themselves so their words alone may sound harsh to us sometimes because the sentences are direct and constructed without giving much thought to the listener. There are a lot of gaps between us and the foreigners such as language and culture, it's not as simple as having to understand English and all is well. Cultural and racial issues are very, very sensitive. In more civilized countries this kind of thread is already considered libelous.
