Product support is another thing to consider. Muscle cars have a huge repro parts industry backing them up that's why there is an abundance of parts. Vehicles are usually mandated by law to be supported by the manufacturer for a maximum of 15 years only.

Because of sentimental value, we've actually decided to keep our Civic ESI (12 yrs now). Hopefully Honda will keep offering maintenance services and parts for this model so we could keep it running, and maintained as much as possible.
