Hehehe... can't blame a guy for trying. I doubt it will be a popular collector's car in the future, but, like the Escort, there will most likely be a small group of people who will be dedicated to keeping them on the road. (But most likely a very small group of people... )
Personally, that's all there is to it. If there are people interested, it will be bought and collected. Heck, Ford Escorts may not draw a second glance here, but there are many foreigners who'll pay good money to take a beater off your hands. I'm tempted to build one myself, but the cosmetic parts might be near impossible to find.
I'm kind of bummed because the Mini's become so popular. Wher you could once find 60's Minis going for 50-80k, thanks to the resurgence of Mini popularity (The Italian Job, and the release of the "new" Mini), 60's Minis are almost impossible to find, and the only ones on the market are the 90's Minis, which go for well over 200k.

Maybe not all Mercs (A/B-Class...), but definitely the bigger luxury models and sports versions (CLS, SL, etc.) G-Wagen too

Yep, I agree with the G.
What about the 300C? Do you think it will be a car to be craved by collectors?iam3739.com

Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
