I hope this incident serves as a warning to all of us motorists! Get the habit of safe driving and... be a defensive driver.:P

There are numerous reasons why accident happens, especially at that place in kennon road.
the more I manipulate the steering wheel, the lesser possibility I feel sleepy.

No matter how new or how old your car is, how fast or how slow driving you do, the driver is always the first factor whether accident will happen or not.

Ang hirap kasi ng curves before that section. Baka na-stress sobra.

    oooops nonie,

    peace :D

ang pagconvert parang pc din yan e. mas maganda ikaw na lang magbuo rather than buying one that is already made pero di mo alam what's inside. yung mga converted vehicles namin kami ang gumawa kaya kampanti ako.

I think that the drivers are the biggest factor in accidents like that. Like guns, you should never rely on the safety features of your vehicle. Sabi nga nila "The best safety to all guns is never let your finger wander on the trigger" Siguro ganon din sa sasakyan.

IMO this looks like driver error. It's a good opportunity to pick a bone with subic auction vehicles, but surely the driver should have been able to stop the car if he was aware what was happening.

Assuming the unlikely event of steering failure:

If you would like to try yourself, try going moderately fast, turn a little then brake hard... The car will spin in the direction of the turn. Assuming the steering did fail, surely the driver would have turned even a small bit toward the inside of the corner, and even if he overbraked, the van would have spun inward, not off of the cliff.

Sadly we'll never know for sure, and we can only express our regrets and consolence for the victims.
