    depends on the car. some a/t trannies do not stay in the lower gear long enough. manually selecting the gear (via shifter) would solve that problem.

    in my case sports mode solves that problem since the tranny will shift on the 6k mark if floored. but a manual will still beat an a/t any day lol

    Flooring the gas do make the tranny downshift, but by one gear. Its more fun to downshift 2 gears down ;) hence, the ActiveMatic.
    yes, with all honesty, i've never really learned how to drive a manual properly, so sometimes I catch myself imaginig my cars are manual, he he he, so i guess you're right. but my idea is actually one down, two up. i know how to operate the manual, but couldn't convince myself to buy one. nagka-phobia na yata ako, when I was 18 naka-atras at bangga na ako habang hanging at traffic sa may pioneer paakyat ng edsa. he he he
