    odell,

Torque is more like low speed pulling power. Remeber low range? Halos puro torque yun at work.

Kung sanay ka sa kotse, almost any diesel SUV will seem slow for you. You just have to learn how to harness the power.

Assuming your rich uncle has a fleet of gas powered vehicles in his garage, and the Patrol is the only diesel powered. Malamang sanay yan sa arangkada ng gas, mabilis more on HP band ang gas, not like diesel which depends more on TORQUE, kaya medyo may kabagalan umarangkada.

if you want fast........get a car
if you want comfort...get a car

if you want power, get anywhere, can take any terrain
    then get a 4x4 diesel
