My very first "brand new car" ever was a red 1986 Nissan Pulsar NX. It only had 55hp. But, it was tough, rugged, and reliable. It was also incredibly simple. I did all engine work, brakes, and wheels myself.
There's the little red gal (behind us) shortly before I sold it a long time ago. It still alive in Nevada. The kid I sold it to took good care of it.

Parts and service are really expensive, not to mention na kapag nagpalit ang casa ng item, buuhan. Kaya kahit minsan ok pa yung ibang adjoining parts, kasama pa rin nila papalitan,- sigurado nga nman.
Nissan pa rin, though.

November 25th, 2006 01:40 AM #63Nissan is always my first choice. At least hanggang magkatrabaho ako. Magaganda kasi ang product nila at matitibay IMO. Also, maganda din ang customer service nila.

While Parrault is a decent brand (I used to buy Parrault parts for my Sentra), it's a bad thing if you're being charged casa prices for non-Nissan parts... complain to management!
Feel sorry for you, dude... my family jumped ship after owning Nissans for over a decade. We had no problems with our older Sentras, and only minor trim problems with our Vanette, but I noticed that the electronics from Yulon in our last Sentra weren't exactly the best, and I was thinking... why are we paying Japanese prices for a car that's practically made in Taiwan?
I've heard nothing bad about the current Sentra, though, but I've heard worrying things about the QRVR AT... and that even when it was new, there were issues with it already... not sure about the QRV-U, though.
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

I'd get a Murano, but that is if I already have a 2007 Camry and a 1-series

I would buy a Nissan as long as it is a Nissan Skyline V-Spec Nur II (R34), white with black nismo 5-star mag wheels pero wala ng brand new ito eh.

Of course! y not?!
Let me tell u somethi'n about nissan, according to my uncle who is a veteran in the local car buy n' sell buss., here we have low resale value of nissans because of the old late 80s saying "ay nissan ba kamo, mahal piyesa nyan di gaya ng toyota kahit sa sari sari store meron!" Maybe back then its true, pro now?!.. hanggang ngayon marami pang naniniwala sa heresay na yan. Market studies show kc that we pinoys especially the "masang pinoy" w/c composed of lower class c to e, tend to believe in sabi sabi's instead of actual facts.. pro some "smart" 2nd hand buyers use that to their advantage, coz buying a median priced 2nd hand nissan car (or a mitsu, a mazda, isuzu, etc.) would be a "steal"! Rather than buying a high priced one's w/c also has the same features and quality. May mga stigma na kc mga pinoy dyan eh, ang cnasabi nman daw kadalasan ng buyers about mitsu, isuzu, mazda, chevrolet, etc. e kesyo they have not proven themselves pa daw in our local market quality wise, lalo na korean cars!!
But they all produce good quality cars ha. And by the way, I remember reading a post here of one of our brothers saying that a mitsu has a higher resale value, that is not true.. In my uncles shop, mitsus resale value are priced at par if not lower compared to nissan, he even helped us dispose of our old lancer gli, and it was priced lower than most sentras with the same mileage in his shop (missed that reliable car by d way). In our big happy family compound, ako tagabili ng piyesa ng diff. brand cars from toyotas, nissans, hondas, since alam nila I'm a banawe boy. Price of nissan parts are just at par with other brands, kung may difference man, not that far. And in other countries resale values r diff. from here. In fact my pinsan from the states na lagi kong ka-chat says nissans are making all the buzz there, from their current sentra SE-Rs (w/c is 1 of my car sa ps2 need4speed underground ;), u have to unlock d car pa 2 use it) dito kc nagiba sentra body natin eh
pareho lang was the b13-ser.2 eccs and b14-ser.3 kaya sa ps2 ko na lang dinadaan; celebrity fairlady z (appeared in numerous music videos, movies, tv shows in the U.S), nakita ko sya sa vid ni lindsay lohan, desperate house wives and ofcourse fast n d furious tokyo drift; Drift and formula d winner 240sx / sylvias, d street tuners new "it" car daw; Infinit G35, luxury and sports at d same time, a formula drift champ also (falken G35); and lastly d "godzilla", d riceboys dreamcar, w/c d automotive critics called the ultimate japanese supercar, whose feats and records makes other sportscars, supercars give their soul for (e.g. 29 consecutive wins, was banned in a race for being too damned dominating, etc. etc. etc.), the legendary GTR... kahit wala sa states 'to people there are getting hold of the car thru black market daw.. coz labs na labs 'to ng japs for its national and international legacy kaya they didn't manufacture d car outside their homeland (a different story though for the next gen highly anticipated GTR R35, w/c will be launched internationally for the 1st time).
So bottom line natin dyan bro, I don't think those buss. executives who bought cefiros, those politikos who bought heavily tinted patrols, those who'd prefer to drive the currently hot x-trail beating rivals crv n' rav4, and those cult like followers worlwide of the sentra are all.. let's just say.. not so smart... coz they are. Eh ang masang pinoy kaya? hmmmm.... ;) nuff said!!

if i were buying a car today, baka po econo sedan lang kakayanin ko
so sentra lang po vs. the other econo sedans in the market ang aking choices...
honestly, i was considering vios, city, matrix, 2nd hand SUVs etc... pero recently i found myself browsing through the nissan website to check-out the specs of the sentra..
this is because pag nagd-drive ako and i see the new sentra napapa-second look ako (especially the black ones), and i find it appealing in some ways, and it looks spacious than the other econo sedans..
so for me - WHY NOT?! if it fits your needs, taste and budget!!:groupwave:
Looks like its is due for release next year: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mLrd78Deng Also...
