    [quote=KBR;998700]"pahalang" ata??

    also, dati naguguluhan ako kung bakit nila sinasabi na yung pag tatanggalin ang makina ay "ibababa ang makina". kasi pag sa ingles eh that would translate to "we gonna drop the motor", eh pag ganun ibababa na ang makina sa kotse yun?? mas appropriate ata pag sabihin nalang na "tatanggalin na ang makina" or "i-swap nalang ang makina" hehehe.

    tangal = remove
    baba = drop

    lolz!

    sir KBR baka kaya ganun ang naging tawag nila eh dahil sa baba (lapag) nila babaklasin/gagawin ung makina..

    eh ito

    "ehe" = not sure kung ito yung differential shaft
    naririnig ko lang "nabali ang ehe" kaya ayaw na bumatak

    Sarplas...meaning 2nd hand parts.

    Ex. Ser ano na desisyon niyo, "sarplas o orig". Pag orig may 3 mants warante, pag "sarplas" di tayo sigrado..pero mas mura ng kalahate..

    Play.. i think it means it should not be this loose..

    Ex. Ser palitin na tong "bol jowint" niyo kasi yung "boosing" niya maluwag na..Ayan o ser may "play" na, dapat jan mahigpit..

    Tsaka ser bad news pala, di na kaya i machine shap yung segunyal niyo, "bingkong" na siya baka mabali lang pag mina chine shop

    Eto naririnig ko sa mga mekaniko namin dati:

    rebaba - means grooves in the cylinder liner or grooves in the brake drums or any rough surface.
    bulutong - carbon build up on the spark plugs or contact points.
    Juego - loose play on steering wheels, loose ball joints
    Kadyot - when you have bad batteries and you need to push the car to start.
    Tope - fuel knock
    Tanke - fuel tank
    Kambyada - Trasmission stick
    Silinyador - gas pedal
    Hataw - speed up
    Bomba - pump the brake pedal, usually when bleeding brake fluids after you repair the brake pistons.
    Tirek - stalled
    Katok - engine knock
    Dukot - engine overhaul without dismantling the engine block from its mounting.
    Barbula - intake/exhaust valves
    Singsing - valve guide
    Sigarilyo - push rods
    Bunge - worn out gears
    Rekta - bypassing electrical wirings during isolation.
    Segunyal - crank shaft (I think?)
    Gato - huge table clamp
    Batidor - jurasic tool for grinding/polishing valve seats and valve head (It's the rubber snap with wooden handle that is being rotated by hands/palm)

    Bale ang langis - pag di nila makita ang problema hehehe
