Brake horse power(B.H.P) is measured by running your engine on a test stand need using a braking system to see how much force is needed to stop it. Your actual H.P that gets to the wheels have a big diff. cause by drag attachment in your whole engine lalong lalo na ang tranny at drive trains mo.

The magazine advertisements claim the PH16 engine of the EG Civic ESi made 120 bhp.

Now if you want a more realistic estimate, deduct 15% from that figure to account for drivetrain losses to get wheel HP---the power that actually makes it to the asphalt. That would be 102 WHP, estimated.

hey bro, probably the best thing to do is to go to a reputable Dyno Shop and have your car Dyno'd, so that you'll know the exact HP figures.

Ghosthunter is correct, the Civic ESi's SOHC non-VTEC engine made around 105hp or 106hp.
...at least according to the old Civic flyer that I used to have.
