2X na ako nag travel from Laguna to Tarlac and back. Sa NLEX nag sustain ako ng speed of 100Kph, peak is 115Kph (almost 4,000 rpm) but for 10 to 15 mins only. After those 2 long trips, feel ko na nag iba ang rev ng makina. IMHO, the Avanza is na a speed demon, it's a people carrier. So for me 100Kph sa Avanza is already very fast. I think ito ang nagpabago sa takbo ng makina.
Siyempre may warm up muna pag alis sa pagka park and may cool down din after i-park. Sa office nasa 5'th floor ang parking, so after mai-park, di muna pinapatay ang makina. naka idling for about 1 min. Sa bahay, after mag exit ng SLEX, dahan dahan na ang takbo, 2K na lang ang shifting point. mabilis na ang 60Kph bago pumasok sa village. I travel about 45Kms from house to office.

September 6th, 2007 11:50 PM #26i thnk a lot of the problems with engines come from the fact that most drivers are shifting to early as is adviced by those who are into fuel savings.. you can hear on the radio most of the time that shifting from 1st to higher gears saves fuel.. and of course it would save fuel.. but in the long run it will cost you more to replace your engine or overhaul it.. from my experience with my 01 starex i tend to shift at higher rpms... what i mean is in normal flat roads. i normally dnt shift past 3rd gear unless im past 60 kmp/h....most of us have seen or ridden a motorcycle right? and in most mopeds under the speedometer numbers are the settings of what gears you should be at, at certain speeds.. if you follow this it feels like the engine will blow up.. but then again wasnt the engine designed to be used like this? i have seen cars that blow out smoke because drivers leave it at high gears and just press the gas pedal.. is this healthy for your cars engine?

i believe so too.
ihataw mo sa Fort or sa NLEX or sa C5. para maximum talaga effect tapos walang wear and tear gano sa shocks

I do some sort of a variant of the Italian tune up everyday. While I'm still in Alabang, and thru SLEX northbound, I just keep the revs manageable, but when I get up on the Skyway, that's when I bring the revs close to redline. On how high I can rev and how fast I can go, well, that depends on the traffic up there. Some days are less congested than others.
Tamang-tama, lapit na registration time. Time for smoke emission testing. Hehehe!

Para sa akin, mas naskakatakot tumakbo ng mabilis sa C5. Daming curves, may mga maalon na portions and madaming mabibilis magpatakbo dito (isa na rin yata ako duon ). For me, our best road is still NLEX. But currently, medyo maraming resurfacing dahil sa natapos na pag-ulan.
