Just how accurate are those on-board FC results?

Wow. I hope people keep posting to this poll, specially yung mga nag compare talaga. If you haven't checked, the results are just about dead even (between choices 2 and 3), and undecided.

i posted this at the camry thread:

we've had the camry for about two weeks and 300+ km. now and so far we havent had any problems with it except for one little thing: ever since we got the car, its km/l reading on the trip computer was constantly at 6 to 6.2 km/l, but last night when i started it, i was surprised to see that it dropped to 3.5km/l. this gradually rose every few seconds while i was driving and peaked at about 7.8km/l. whats up with this? perhaps a computer glitch? any camry owners who've experienced something similar to this?
