inquiries about TMG clearance...need your help guys!!

gys i need your help,after a week of asking for a feedback here about Sentra cars (2nd hand) i'm about to close a deal with this guy tom,he's selling his Sentra Supertouring 96' model for 170k,now wha made me confused was,i ask him to bring the TMG test ( Macro etching test?),i mean ung clearance a kinuha nya when he bought that car to the previous owner & he said wla daw sya non,hindi pa daw kylangan yon as of now?he said ako na daw ang kukuha non once close na ang deal nmin,in my own knowledge,d ba yun muna dapat ang una kng gawin?to check if the vehicle is a Hot Car,i hae to check it first at TM office,he said duon pa lang daw sa LTO Verification malalaman ko na kung Hot Car ung oto nya,is that true?pls enlighten me guys,i don't have any idea about this...thanks a lot in advance!

To check the vehicle records, go to the LTO office where it is registered (indicated on the OR/CR) and ask. This is where you'll know if may problema ang sasakyan or its papers.

Then you sign the deeds of sale.

Macroetching kahit isabay mo na lang sa pagregister ng sasakyan para isang abala na lang. That's what we did with the Vitara. Inantay na lang namin ang registration.

so u mean Bro dun pa lang s LTO malalaman na kung stolen or may bad previous record ang sasakyan?tnx ha,keep it coming guys..

Yup. Unless maganda talaga pagkakadoktor ng papeles mo. Pinapunta ko nga lang yung isang security officer namin to have it checked. Kasi sa may Rizal pa nakaregister yung Vitara (I work in Manila).

In my case, we just checked kung may problema ang papers nung Vitara. Once cleared, nagpirmahan na kami ng deed, exchanged cash and went on our separate ways.

Nung nag-renew ng registration yung sasakyan last October, dun na namin sinabay ang macroetching.

alam ko pwede ka kumuha ng copy ng TMG clearance dito sa pasig, before you buy the car...dalhin mo din copy ng or/cr mo dun, kahit di na muna mo dalhin ung sasakyan, che-check na nila dun kung may problem ung car.

katulad nga ni sir otep, pwedeng ganung procedure, pero if you have time and willing to wait, check mo na din sa TMG pasig....

ps: for 170K super-touring version na sentra..a/t ba transmission nyan?check mo ng maigi din yan..kung mayaya mo sa nearest gas station sa bibilhan mo, para makita lang ung ilalim, gawin mo...(at makatawad ka pa lalo.)

guys sorry ha mdyo ignorante tlga ako s cars e,ask ko lng kung ano ang mga dapat i-check ng mekaniko on this model?actually i have'nt heard this model (Sentra Supertouring) before,ano ba dapat kong i-check sa ilalim nito?

ako ginawa ko before buying the car, nagdala ako ng 2 mekaniko, isang titingin ng good side at isang titingin ng bad side ng sasakyan, then ng ok na. kumuha ako ng xerox ng or/cr.. i verify it in las pinas LTO, ok naman..updated ang regitration/no tampering..punta ako sa tmg crame, di naman daw hot car...then kinabukasan nagbayaran na kami .lpunta ako sa tmg pier10.north harbor for macroetching..konting lagay para maparush ang papel..lastly pinatransfer ko na sa pangalan ko sasakyan....no hassle
