Euro brands and japanese brands have different priorities...
euro brands usually prioritize safety & convenience features, while japanese brands would rather trade these features for bling(big alloy wheels, chrome trim etc).

About the prices of chinese assembled cars...
Chevrolet is imports the Lumina 2.5 from China, its built by Shanghai-GM and is sold here for P1.34M

To much trouble to sell such a low volume model and not worth the dollar going out of the country. now if they sell second hand models here maybe worth a second look.
