In exchange of a lower octane, bawas polusyon naman. Japan doesnt have a regulation as strict as the US DOT and EPA nazis. My car has 3 catalytic converters, can you believe that?

Paul, no problem regarding sa thread.
Fine of at least $1,000.00 and an added point sa drving record mo. magpapalit ako ng up-pipe, down-pipe and mid-pipe 3 months from now para lakas hatak. yung mid-pipe, high flow cat-converter, yung up and down pipes, straight pipe and no cat na lang.
I like that body too!

April 27th, 2003 08:52 PM #28Pero IMHO maski pangit fuel diyan sa California, kaya habulin yan ng tamang fuel and ignition mapping para lumakas makina without necessarily resorting to boosting up power.
I'm sure mga onaks maglalabas din sila ng mga stand-alone ECU's for the USDM Evo 8, like yung AEM kit.

1.8T, 3.1 to be exact, Turbo-back exhaust. A remapped ECU, up-pipe, main power pulley, and a colder plug will give me a total of 280HP from 227hp. I'm assuming na a cat-back alone will give me an add'l 10hp (at least) then mated with down-pipe. ewan kung ilang ang added HP ng down-pipe.
RS Sprint , siempre kayang kaya habulin...pero I was just referring to stock ECU. I was just trying to point out that 271 was over-rated, Mitsu was probably using a 93 octane to get 271hp. Pero hindi naman lahat ng state may 93octane. Vishnu dynoed four EVO8 and only 247 ponies were present. Pero baka daw dahilan yon ng mababang mileage pa lang (1000 miles) and the octane rating.
Vishnu Tuning for WRX
Sub-Zero: 260HP
Stage 0: 280HP
Stage 1: 300-310HP
Stage 2: 340-350HP
Stage 3: Warp speed ahead...hehehe

April 28th, 2003 10:40 AM #30Karding,
Pina-pang drag pa, powershift all the way to 5th.
Personal opinion, if you can charge at home and don't mind the vehicle's resale value... yes, an EV...
