October 17th, 2005 05:57 PM #91Has anyone seen the engine yet? Is it still a carbureted engine? Or have they throw-in an EFI system? The three cylinder 1.0L engine for the Geely points to some Daihatsu Charade legacy.
From Carlo's pictures, outer door handles, the doors and the windshield are the same as the Charade's.
...planning to visit their showroom this weekendHehehe... the thought of buying one has not even crossed my mind! Just want to compare this with the Daihatsu Charade!

in another point of view, sa laki ng geographical location ng China, mas madami sila ma-mine na bakal panggawa ng tsikot as compared to Japan na bumibili na lang sa China din hehehe

Anyway Geely is a small company in china, the big auto producers in china are SAIC and FAW, the joint venture partners of major western auto companies, SAIC was the one who bought Sangyong of Korea. SAIC is planning to produce it own brand car soon.

Nakita ko yung Geely nung Sunday at honestly kailangan pa ng big improvement ang car na to.According sa taga Commercial Motors they plan to improve the build quality ng Geely HA 1.0 here na gagawin sa pinas kasama ng Nissan LCV vehicles sa Sta Rosa Laguna plant,kaya expect nyo na mas mahusay na daw ang quality.Nagtitinda rin sila ng trucks worth 335 to 365K 2.5 Liter diesel ang makina nung trucks nila.Nakita ko rin si Ms Elizabeth Lee sa Greenhills sa Geely display kinukunan niya ng pics yung car....
