Sentra series 2 1.4L... it's cheap, relatively fuel efficient and has enough power for overtaking.

Or even the Sentra 1.6 series 2, less efficient than the 1.4 but for hi-way driving, I got 10km/L as long as you are light on the gas pedal.

    corolla gli '93

we sold ours 2 years ago. 200thou.
no problems w/ engine. mahina lang aircon sa tanghaling tapat. cheapo tints kasi eh.

    yes tipid sa gas
    yes lakas sa hataw

tsambahan lang yan kung makakuha ka ng walang sira * low price.

    good luck searching.

thanks sa mga suggestions nyo mga bossing, interested ako sa big body na corolla, hindi siguro bagay yung civic hatchback sa akin, medyo matangkad ako hehe, though maporma sya. i'd rather look for a corolla gli or xe, kaso 93 model lang pala kasya sa budget ko noh, baka nga kulang pa, so hanap na lang ako later version na XE. how would you know guys na hindi pinag-taxi ung corolla.

mga bossing, how true na na-aadjust nila yung kilometer reading ng kotse, making this not a factor at all when you're buying a car.

very true....talagang kelangan mong tingnang mabuti yung condition nang sasakyan, hindi naman kesyo mababa ang mileage eh mas okay yung sasakyan eh...yung iba kahit less than 100K yung odo nang sasakyan eh makikita mo na hindi well maintained, makalampag at maingay na masyado yung makina....while yung mga well maintained cars eh pinung pino pa ang takbo kahit more than 200K na ang odo....

the point is, dont rely on the odometer readings at edad nang sasakyan, it is how the previous owner treat the car that matters. Although yung edad (yr./model) maybe a big consideration sa decision making dahil syempre nagbabago ang looks nang sasakyan every year.

good luck sa yong car hunt....hehehe

Best thing u can do is test drive the car you wanna buy and you can also have it evaluated ex. u decide on the toyota bring it to the nearest toyota dealer and have it evaluated ok un feedbak they'll tell u w/c parts needs replacements. about the looks/style factor ok un 89 i like it alot than the corolla 93-97 model puro taxi bumababa tingin ng mga tao... =)
