Teka teka, ano bang kotse bibilhin mo?

actually, hindi ko agad agad nilipat sa name ko yung sasakyan. nagantay ako ng registration period niya (9 ang ending, so september yun). dun ko nalaman ang iba pang requirements. just ensure na hawak mo ang original deed of sale ng sasakyan mo at ang previous or and cr niya, and as much as possible, reproduce many copies ng deed of sale, or, and cr, and secretary's certification (since my car was bought from a buy and sell). dapat pala notarized yung deed of sale ah... so ayun, i thought na pag binigay mo na sa lto ang mga papel, eh yun na, hindi pala. pinapunta nila ako sa TMG. hiningi nila sa kin ang photocopy ng deed of sale, or, at cr. then may ipapa-fill up sa yo sa tmg. then pay it at the bank. after nun, balik ka sa tmg para ibigay yung proof of payment mo sa kanlia. then tsaka ka nila imamacro etching. after ng macro etching at confirmed na malinis ang sasakyan mo, then its time to go back to lto and register.

so ang ending is you must have the following:

    1. deed of sale
    2. secretary's certification (kung galing sa buy and sell)
    2. previous OR, CR
    3. macro etching result

hmmmm... based dito, labas sa usapan ang first owner and the second owner. so the business is down to you and the third owner. the third owner must secure the deed of sale from the second onwner, notarized, and his own deed of sale na notarized din dapat. if ever possible, the third owner must have all the deed of sale, from the first owner and the second owner, para masabi mo na malinis ang sasakyan na kukunin mo. hindi mo na dapat problemahin kung wala ang deed of sale ng second owner, ang dapat mamroblema dyan, eh yung current owner. so if ever hindi niya maipakita yan, i think po mam eh may problema po ang auto na yun.

Hi there! I have the same case before kasi, nabili ko yung car bale 3rd owner na ko.

That time, i just made sure na hindi hot car, kahit na may kasamang mga papers yung car like yung micro-etching, pina-verify ko pa rin sa TMG kung malinis ba talaga. So...malinis naman sya.

Kaya...i didnt bother to change the name of ownership, i just left it as is...gastos lang kasi and time consuming sa paglakad ng papers...haba ng pila sa LTO. After two years, naibenta ko yung car with no problem at all.

If you are planning to keep your buy for sooo long (i mean so long that your grandchildren will still be using it )...then secure all the necessary papers. If not...or ibebenta mo rin soon...then just make sure na hindi hot car yan and just leave the name of ownership as is.

^^but it is still better to transfer the ownership to you. hindi lang sa mas secure yung magiging buyer mo, or hindi sa pangmatagalan mo itatago ang sasakyan, but it will make you feel na this car is really mine, na masasabi mong akin eto! hehehe...

Yes, spare yourself the hassle and stress. Find another car na lang. Or if the current owner really wants to sell it to you, ask him/her to transfer na muna the car registration to his/her name. Para malinis yung transaction ninyo after. Payment/money trail will be clearly from you to registered owner, tapos deed of sale will be clearly from registered owner to you rin.

Best option. Find another unit.

BTW, anong sasakyan ba yung nakita mo at hinahanap mo?

i have the same problem, i bought a 2nd hand honda car last may from a 2nd owner. got a notarized dos from 1st owner to 2nd owner and a separate one from 2nd owner to me as the 3rd owner. but the cr/or is still under the name of the 1st owner. i plan to transfer the ownership from 1st owner to me (3rd owner) this month since the plate number ends with 8. another thing is, the car color was changed by the 2nd owner from red to white. he did not secure any paper for this. thus, 3 transactions will be done by me this month (isang lakaran kung baga):

    1. renewal of registration
    2. transfer of ownership
    3. change of motor vehicle color

what will be the procedures am i going to undergo for these 3 transactions? how long do you think am i going to finish them? any cost estimate para mabudget ko na rin... kahit saan bang pnp-tmg pwedeng lakarin ito. thank you sa lahat ng sasagot. i really need help. god bless.
