but if you are a "really can afford", then malamang yung budget mo is enough to buy you a really nice car with the proper number of airbags and will most likely even afford to have a driver hehe

Not necessarily sir. The 2006 Isuzu D-max 4X2 LS was priced at just a little over 900k, not really top-of-the-line but it has Dual AirBags (driver and front passenger side). It is the "proper number" for a pick-up truck as far as I know.

siguro dapat lang. alangan namang me airbag sa passenger tapos sa driver wala. di naman siguro tatakbo ang sasakyan kung pasahero lang ang nakasakay sa kotse.

The distance between the driver to the steering wheel and the passenger to the dash has nothing to do with it. In fact, moving closer to the airbag's point of deployment will lessen its effectiveness, to the point that it can be fatal instead of life saving.

The usual rule is, your chest must be no less than 10 inches away from the airbag. And properly wearing your seatbelt, of course. ;)

Yup! That's why you see "SRS Airbag", where SRS stands for "secondary restraint system.

Bakit nga ba nasa driver side lang ang single airbag equipped vehicles?
