SOP is brake before clutch, when your using the first gear you can still use the break first. bakit break muna? kung inuuna ang clutch before breaking you will notice increase in speed and you will give too much stress sa breaking system why? because there is no help from engine kumbaga mawawala ang engine break if you use clutch first.
for the beginner driver mas comfortable sila sa clutch muna before break kasi natatakot mamatayan ng makina. I have brother in canada na 2x kumuha ng actual test drive before mabigyan ng cleance to drive because he failed on the first test drive dahil inuna niya ang clutch before break. he was given another 6 months before makapag-apply ulit.

Preno muna.
Kookie Ramirez will tell you "let the engine help you slow the car down"...you can't do that with the clutch released.

walang kasing bagal: clutch then brake. speedier than than brake-brake only and followed by clutch when about to change gear.
