What i did was ngpatugtog ako ng malakas mgadamagan, Then itong mga parents ng mga pesteng bata asked me na pwdeng hinaan coz natutulog mga anak nila. I replied IN ENGLISH "NOW YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS TO GET DISTURBED. GOOD THING THAT YOU DO COZ IF YOU GUYS ARE GOOD PARENTS YOU SHOULD KNOW HOW TO DISCPILINE YOUR KIDS AND RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES RIGHTS SINCE ALL OF US ARE HOMEOWNERS". I did that for 5 consecutive days, then ngreklamo sila sa barangay. Yung chairman namin astig din yung mga tsikot kaya he knows how a car owner feels pag natatamaan auot. He even mentioned na kung sakaling naatrasan ko yung mga anak nila e hindi ko sagutin since driveway yun at di naman playground. Ayun pahiya yung neighbors ko. From that point ngkaroon na lang kami ng mutual respect

I hate to be the killjoy here, but that stupid barangay chairman should be fired. This kind of flawed reasoning, coming from an elected public official is symptomatic of what ails the country, gross ignorance.
Kung tinamaan mo yung bata while backing up, you're likely to be charged for reckless imprudence, resulting to slight/serious physical injuries (depending on how grave the injuries are, or homicide, kung namatay). It's a criminal offense, and you can be arrested and jailed. The area where the incident happened has no bearing, ke driveway mo yan or hindi. All of us tsikoteers love our cars, but's its not worth the jailtime and the hassle of facing a criminal case in court. I sincerely hope that chairman was half-joking when he said that.
In cases like these, nothing beats diplomacy. As they say, a drop of honey catches more flies than a gallon of gall.

I see your point. Is there a law which states that pag nakatama / nakasagasa ka lets say sa NLEX, SLEX or any national road at yung pedestrian eh tumawid sa hindi dapat tawiran, na hindi mo dapat sagutin yun coz to begin with hindi dapat cya tumawid dun at dapat sa designated area lang liek a pedestrian lane, overpass or an underpass. Coz naka encounter kami minsan ng ganun and aminado naman yung pedestrian.

December 5th, 2006 03:49 PM #57Kung ayaw mo ng hassle ng diplomacy or kind words, lakihan nyo garage nyo to accomodate 3 or 4 cars. It is not worth the time and effort to deal with little things like that. Think about the peace of mind that 50k worth of renovation will bring you.

Or you could just buy this and fry their a*ses off!
(CNN) -- Crime-obsessed South Africans have a powerful new weapon with which to stop likely criminals: the car flamethrower.
Casting a man-high fireball, reportedly with no damage to the paint, the Blaster has been placed on 25 South African vehicles since its introduction last month.
At 3,900 rand ($655), it offers a cheap, dramatic defense against carjackers. It has yet to be deemed illegal.
South African courts allow killing if convinced that it's in self-defense. The defense is not unheard of. In last year's 13,000 carjackings, criminals often brandished weapons or used them with little provocation.
The Blaster squirts liquefied gas from a bottle in the automobile's trunk through two nozzles, located under the front doors. The gas is then ignited by an electric spark, with fiery consequences.
Both sides flame at the same time, regardless of whether the attack is coming from just one side of the vehicle, or whether passersby are on the other side. But the breadth and depth of blast can be modified according to individual preference.
Fire blinds, not kills, maker assures
Blaster inventor Charl Fourie, 33, disputed concerns that the flamethrower could burn someone to death.
"My personal feeling is that it would definitely blind a person. He will never see again," he said
Firefighters, medical personnel and the police agree 100 percent "that it will never kill a person," Fourie asserted. "This is definitely non-lethal.... A person is not going to stand there for a minute while you roast him. It will fend off the attacker, and that's the end of it."
Fourie has filed an international patent application. He anticipates thousands of orders nationally and from abroad. "The demand is huge," he said.
First customer a Johannesburg police official
The first buyer, Police Superintendent David Walkley of Johannesburg's crime intelligence unit, is satisfied the Blaster is legal, provided it is used correctly.
"It depends entirely on the circumstances and whether you can justify self-defense," he said.
"Yes, there are certain risks in using it, but there are also risks in not having anything at all."

or you can have the help of the barangay so that they could talk to those people
or cut mo na yung puno
then shoot down the light using a bb gun
