August 27th, 2010 04:43 PM #1Dear Fellow Ford Owners,
I have a question po.
Lately napansin ko, kapag naka-neutral ako then ni-rev ko ng todo (habit ko kasi mag rev minsan after starting and before turning the engine off)yung FORD Lynx 2000 M/T ko may lumalabas na tubig as in nag-sspray then tumutulo galing muffler, tapos medyo may smoke then na kasama.
Pero kapag di ko naman ni-rev ng todo or naka-idle lang wala namang water and smoke.
Ano po kaya problem sir/s?
I hope you could help me. Ibibiyahe ko po sana ng Ilokos yung car this weekend.

Isn't this taught at high school chemistry? This should be known to all car owners.
Combustion of hydrocarbons, eg. Octane, produces H2O and CO2.
2(C8H18) + 25(O2) = 16(CO2) + 18(H2O)
This is for perfectly complete combustion wherein sufficient amounts of Oxygen combines with Octane. Catalytic converters assist in making sure all hydrocarbons are combusted.
All cars produce water. Burning more fuel (revving) just produces more water.
Kwento ng katrabaho ko, meron daw sya officemate dati na Italiano na tinanong daw bakit...
