Ford also supplies 4-cylinder EcoBoost engines to Volvo which they rebadge as "GTDi" engines.

Ford will continue to supply engines, technology etc to the companies it sold (like Jaguar Land Rover and Volvo), I guess for the next couple of years (transitional period).

Sadly Saab (which used to be part of GM) was not as lucky.

Get bought by GM, get shafted, then tossed aside.

Get bought by Ford... Ford sinks billions into you, get sold to another company... profit!

The Diesel engines are actually being supplied by Peugeot Citroen to JLR. The DW12C 2.2L Diesel is also used by Ford because it was developed under the Ford-PSA engine partnership.

Actually the 2.2L is not made by Peugeot like some 1.4L and 1.6L ones.

    The 2.2L DW12 is a Ford-PSA engine.

The 2.2-litre Ford/PSA Group- sourced turbodiesel engines in the new Evoque are updated versions of those from the Freelander.

The TDV6 and TDV8 Land Rover engines are definitely Ford units

I will check the tags on the DW12C engines when i get a chance.

The DW12C 2.2L Diesel was only fitted on the XF and not the XJ. Evoque and Freelander also use DW12C engines on their Diesel variants.
