acquired Ford focus tdci hatch on June 2010. now with 11, 500kms.

long list of problems so far:

1.) front suspension problem (either cv joint, shocks, rackend..)
2.) noisy brake (not the typical grinding sound). imagine cracking a chicken bone open. GANUN! KAKAIRITA
    3.) rear windows rattle
4.) fuel tank noise -- you could hear the fuel swimming inside when you're on an incline or braking
5.) cheap build quality in interior --sa showroom its all nice. but i soon noticed rubber and rugby sa mga panels coming out

this car is a big disapointment. excited pa naman ako when i first got it. i should have bought a japanese sedan instead!

one thing i really like sa focus, handling sharp as a knife.. endless power.. fuel economy.. good looks

lesson learned: try to stay away from cars made in the philippines. if this were CBU or made in thailand, hindi siguro ganun

I say you are just unlucky rather than the Focus being bad or being Philippine made... Ask Innova owners and Fortuner owners its a Japanese brand, but if their D4-D engine choked out on them while the car is running at speed then there goes your so-called "Japanese"...

from that kind of experience, ill go to the dealer and ask fix the many problems you mentioned. after all its still in the warranty stage.

sorry to hear that story bro. honestly, ill go for the civic FD than the focus.

It is sad that these problems happen to you. But, it doesn't mean you had these issues because it is Philippine made.

Thailand? naahhh. I don't think they are that good. Yup. you can still go to casa to fix the issues.

those dealers like to "deal", its like in the casino the house always win

claim warranty? asa ka pa. and to add they are idiots! the mechanics are just OJT students from nearby technical schools!

one good example, Ford Global city. Theyve summed up the suspension defects as : Stabilizer link, rack end, shock mount.. total bill : 26k pesos

una sabi nila "sir, suspension is not covered by warranty" --which i fully understand. BUT, that time i was in for the 6k kms pa lang and the car is 4 months old tapos may ganitong sira na???

so i protested, to which after 1 week of negotiating, they finally agreed to change the stabilizer link (the least expensive of all items)

but it didnt cure the defect obviously. eto pa, after 10k pms, i soon discovered that the casa changed the lugnuts to used worn out ones taken from another car

with this, bye bye CASA.. i hope you burn!!!

and kakairita pa kasi the first time they said the lagatok sound from suspensoin is gone, i was delighted and hurried to the casa to pick up the car

but when they let me do another test drive, within 10 secons the sound came back! ano mga mechanics nila?? listening to high volume when doing test drives??
