K & N filter safe?

Okay ang K&N filter . Sa mga EFI engine pagkatapos linisin ang filter huwag masyadong maraming langis ang ilagay sa filter na kasama sa K&N cleaning kit ang ilagay sa filter at nakakasama sa Mass air flow sensor.

K&N- open type around 4k. drop-in around 2-3k.
Simota - open type lang meron around 500-600php. (basta naka-box tapos may Simota na sticker hehe)

ako kasi sir hindi ko na tinatanong kung meron sila para sa specific models dahil kadalasan wala. pero tingin ko sa Vios meron naman po, adaptor lang naman ang kadalasang problem.

ah ok sir thank you po.di ko po alam un drop-in at open type e.hindi po kasi ako nakakatry pa magpalit ng aftermarket.meron din ba sila for Mercedes-Benz C200 Kompressor?Thank you sir.

imho, knn filters na drop in type ok sa mga turbo diesels dahil malaki ang requirements sa hangin, pag NA no need na, dahil sa dumi ng kalye madali magbara mga paper filters, ang result sa diesel pag high rev mo mausok dahil sakal ang hangin, but stock filters does a better job of keeping the dirt out of the engine, sa knn for sure may nakakalusot na mas malalaking dumi, simple logic more air means less filtering efficiency, kaya pag maraming dumi na knn mas ok ok na siya mag filter

. just imagine pag binugahan yung stock filter sa change oil mo, grabe alikabok lumalabas, imagin mo nalang saan napunta yun pag naka knn ka, hindi mo agad mararamdaman ang problems na magagawa nito, hopefully with a good oil filter dun dapat matrap yung duming nakapasok, and may issue pa pag may MAF sensor ka, pwede ma contaminate ng oil from knn. kapalit ng performance is may small risk talaga may masira. despite the risk naka knn parin ako, dahil di gaano maalikabok dito sa amin, pag area mo madumi very bad idea mag knn. imho ko lang.

sir don't tell your dealer that you install k&N filter...you can easily remove this one and change to stock air filter when going to casa for check ups..

my SA & service manager saw that i have drop-in k&n when i had my 5k pms. pa And he asked what is the part no.

so siguro wala naman problema. But still better check muna bago mg palit.

*promdiboy, sir i believe effective naman yung filtering ng k&n. my rig does tri-weekly runs on very fine dusty roads and pag bukas ko ng filter box halos walang dust. Although pag k&n you have to re-oil it since hindi siya dry type esp. kung palaging dusty yung dinadaan mo.

K&N filter is Oil type para iyong mga dust na maliit na filter niya . K&N is safe and a good brand of air filter.

drop in filter ay yung pwede mung ipalit sa oem filter mo, without any modifications, as in ilalagay mu na lang sa air filter housing mu.

yung cone type ay yung hugis cone.
