Ford Maverick reportedly to debut in a couple of weeks | Autodeal

The Ford Maverick shall sit below the midsize Ranger, it will also serve as a proper competitor to the recently revealed Hyundai Santa Cruz. Reports also mentioned that the upcoming model could possibly start under $20,000.
It was also mentioned that the Maverick will sit on the Bronco’s platform, meaning, it should also carry the unibody SUV’s strong off-road capability. In terms of powertrain, rumors state that the Ford Maverick could come with a choice of EcoBoost gasoline engines. It could either come with a 1.5-liter or 2.0-liter EcoBoost gasoline motor. Speculatively, both engines could also be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission that is also found on its larger stablemates. For its off-road capability, the all-new Maveric could also come with a terrain management system.

Maganda iyong utilitarian look at function nito. Ayos din sa size. Okay kung may wagon version. Lagyan na Campershell. (Hindi na uso sa pickups ngayon, hehehe...)

Built specifically to be more car-like than your usual truck.

IIRC closest vehicle to the Bronco Sport is the Escape, so it's like if the Escape was given a truck bed in place of the cargo space behind the second row of seats.

Nope, people will be more interested if it has a diesel engine on it.
