For me, pagawa ka ng lifters para hindi mag-oval yung gulong. Do not start the engine once a week. I vaguely remember that short engine operation does not burn out or evaporate moisture from the combustion itself from the engine all the way down the exhaust.
This situation produces acidic reaction that harms the engine.
Plus the potential health hazard of running a car in the garage (carbon monoxide poisoning)
Dapat talaga long drive para most of the moisture is thrown away.
Or the best thing is pahiram mo muna sa 'kin. I swear, I'll take good care of her .... wahehehehe

Whether FoFi or some other brand, with a brand new car, you get a warranty.
One less thing to worry about.
Or
I also heard of some balikbayans who just rent a new car during their short stay. Nasa P2,500 yata per day around 5 years ago.
With this option, nothing to depreciate. Just like staying in a hotel.

April 20th, 2011 08:44 AM #595Well i would suggest buy a cheap brand new car.

Second hand! nope...been doing it in the states before and as you said, sakit lang ng ulo...what I like about the price of fofi diyan sa Pinas eh halos di na nagkakalayo ang presyo sa US...kaya its still a good choice compare to other brand.

I was in the same situation 2 years ago and just after a few months of doing weekly engine warm-ups dead na ang battery. Dapat talaga i-drive siya para the alternator can recharge the battery. So what I did instead iniwan ko na lang sa dad ko yung car and asked them to use it atleast once a week.
Siguro ang risk lang dito is kung new driver sila expect mo na they will go through the learning process of driving and sabi nga nila hindi ka pa marunong mag-drive hanggat hindi ka nabubunggo, if you know what I mean.

Sundin mo na puso mo. Buy a Fiesta..haha..
