Hi Tsikoteers! I'm a newbie here, don't know kung meron nang topic na ganito before, pero kung meron na paki-bigay na lang po yung Forum.
Anyways, I'm gathering info. for the Ford Expedition, any comments, opinions and/or personal experiences re: this SUV will be appreciated.
Also, want to have an idea ng fuel comsumption ng Expedition sa pilipinas (ung palaging naka-aircon), are all XLTs have a 4x2 drive train only? and ano po comment n'yo s Eddie Bauer version? what makes it different from the rest of the Expedition range?
Thanks in advance mga sirs!

June 6th, 2007 11:05 AM #918i had a 1999 F150 4x4 and the fuel consumption/mileage was 5 to 6 km per liter. you will probably get that range with city driving and aircon

It's about 4-5 km/l in the city with the Expedition (AC on). As for the new one, with electronic throttle control and the six-speed AT, I haven't a clue. It should be more fuel efficient, though.
Expeditions are really cheap secondhand. But be wary of transmission issues and air suspension issues. You can chuck the air suspension if it starts to become problematic, but if the AT has been improperly maintained or abused, you start that long slow dance with the mechanics that invariably ends up with you selling your kidney to them to fix it. (not that all mechanics are evil......it's just an expensive thing to fix.) Buy carefully.

June 6th, 2007 01:00 PM #920i inquired in a ford showroom about 3 to 4 months ago on new units like the escape and the everest. sensing these units were beyond my budget, they offered that we could trade-in older cars. i said we could trade-in a 2001 exped (gasaholics anonymous). frowning, the sales person replied that used expeds unfortunately have low value. she didn't elaborate why, but obviously everyone with a pulse inside the room knew why, including me.
if i remember correctly, she said offhand that their value for that model was 500k tops. for the same year model, i believe even auv's sell for much more than 500k. ncncn, if you're planning to buy 1, be prepared... be very prepared... $$$$!!!
someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
