had the same problem with our exped. bagsak din ang likod but paunti unting umaakyat once nag start na ang engine. the air shocks compressor gives this very bad whinning and crunching sound. surplus parts for these are cheaper in the US. if you have a relative there that can send or bring this for you, its the better alternative. last time we canvassed it costs about $100, if i am not mistaken
too bad we had to let go of our exped already. sold it for P360T with the nitto tires and 20" rims. it was just getting toooo old at 170K++ odometer reading
got another similarly classed brand new ride though

March 13th, 2011 11:16 PM #1104We also have our gen 2 serviced there. Sana we won't experience the same problems you have. So far no problems with ours. Yung nga lang its a bit matagtag.
In our gen 3 EL, we're getting roughly 3-4 with really heavy traffic. Almost the exact same figure with our gen 2. Our gen 2 is the EB with the 5.4 engine.
Ride and interior is a huge leap compared to the gen 2. Not sure if it has anything to do with the extended wheelbase. But consider the fact that it rides better even with 20" rims.Last edited by glntVR; March 13th, 2011 at 11:19 PM.

March 14th, 2011 11:10 AM #1105Lagot pala kami if we buy a 2nd hand Gen. 3 Expedition. Our Gen. 2 with the 4.6L Triton V8 currently consumes 5 km/l in bumper-to-bumper traffic, kapag super tindi talaga ng traffic it goes down to 4.5 km/l. What more if it is 5.4L Triton V8

Your Expeditions are fuel sippers!
My 2003 Expe XLT (4.6 liter V8) does only 2.5 to 3 km per liter, and that's with extremely good-boy driving!
By the way, does anybody know where to buy :
1. billet grille
2. leather seatcovers
Thanks!

someones are (at last!) loudly asking, "why did they turn off the countdown timers?"
