for me, i'd rather get the better maintained unit than base it on looks, a badly maintained unit will cost you an arm and a leg to fix.pero kaduda duda din yung 01 model na 490k, its too cheap, baka may hidden defects na. check mo yung rear suspension kung sagging na.ako nga im still contemplating on selling my 02 expe pa. nak 20" blings narin yun and lcd monitor.

Yup my problem seems similar to yours. I am hoping that like your Expy, it would start even if palyado, so that I can at least bring it to the nearest Ford casa. I have a feeling that it's a sensor problem too.
As it is the holidays, it would have to wait until Monday. Will update this post.

January 6th, 2009 07:25 AM #999If you have problems with your car and want an alternative to going to the "Casa", I have a mechanic that used to work for ford and has been servicing my '01 xp for over 2 years now. You may contact him thru the details below.
Chris - 09217350669
He can go to your place or you can arrange for meet-ups after business hours as he works for a shop near Pasig.
Tell him I gave you his number.
I know how expensive it costs to go to the "Casa" to have someting that can be repaired, replaced! This guy will give you suggestions and will even explain what is causing the problem.
Enjoy!

Just to update you guys on my 03 Expe that won't start. As per the Ford Global service guy that I spoke to, FUEL PUMP needs to be replaced.
Pricetag: P19,000 + labor
And he has yet to find out what the other problem$$$ are when he finally gets it to start 4-5 days from now.
About a month ago, I just replaced the brakepads, a power window switch, and it cost me around P22k. Now it's another 20k++.
Jeez owning this Expe sure is getting pricier and pricier.
Planning to buy a second car. Help me choose. Honda accord has 71k mileage for ₱465,000 Nissan...
