While I don't have complete info at this time, it's likely for offroad use, which is probably why the 4x2s aren't given these as standard.

Do the 2.2 4x4 have these din? If yes, it probably confirms my guess.

Bottom shield. It extends the plate from the engine. Only 4x4 eve have this to probably protect the motor from rocks when offroading.

Hoping it doesnt weigh too much. Haha ordered this to further protect the underside.
