It should. But again: Parts are a problem, and the gauges will not work properly with the new engine.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

    Complicated. Expensive. Pointless.

    Just fix your car up.

    Change your fuel pump source.

Switch to LPG, then you're good to go.

    Or ...

    Sell it AS IS.

ang alam ko boss pwede yan, kasi may mga early model L300s na naka gasoline. so if you buy the right engine, drop in yan (or push under... di ko alam san sila dumadaan pag nagpapalit ng makina sa L3 hehe).

While there are niggles, they aren't enough to justify swapping out the entire engine. And even then, if you get a secondhand diesel engine that will fit an Escape, there's no assurance that it won't break down, either.

Given that no local CUVs came with diesels until Hyundai-Kia brought them in, spare parts for a transverse diesel will be incredibly hard to find. It might end up being more of a cash drain and a headache than just keeping the original engine going... at least you now know where to get parts.

In the end, consider: if you're so dissatisfied with the car that you want to change out the engine, why not simply sell it and buy something else? ;)
UP.UP.UP. I own an escape which was swapped from V6 to CD20 (standard, crappy engine). Would it make sense or better if the engine be swapped again to a CD20T (Turbo)? Would it make any difference performance wise?
