My Bauer 97 Ford Expedition is in the CASA. They said I need to change my alternator and they ask for P38K. Cost is quite steep....any chance I can just pull-out the laternator and have it repaired/reconditioned outside. Have any of you guys done this already? If you can also advise a lower cost parts supplier....please let me know also. Thanks!

It's a dealership. They need to order the part from the US because the local Ford plant doesn't build Expeditions. So on top of the extra the "casa" charges for parts, typically 20-40%, you add shipping and extra charges from the "casa" overseas.
Best to take it outside. You should be able to get a new OEM alternator for about half that price or less.
