September 8th, 2020 09:39 PM #1811(Window shopping) Nasa shortlist ang Ecosport Trend 1.5 AT (isa din ang XL7). Cute, simple, classic design.
May iba pang concerns kaya? Parts mukhang okay naman sa Banawe. Service after 3 years warranty period puwede sa labas.

Made in China na rin ata?
XL7 super good value. Maganda rin third row space for such a compact vehicle. I suggest you go for that kung strictly 1M budget.

dating issue na yung mabigat but then again a lot of people have already walked away from major crashes w/ just minor injuries. so the body integrity is there
gas consumption is fine if you ask me. i have the older 4cyl version. the new 3cyl version should have some minor improvements in FC. but yeah the box shape isn't aero so that kills fuel economy at high speeds
biggest issue is the tiny boot. so you should have roof rack or hitch rack

September 9th, 2020 10:34 AM #1814Made in China, okay din daw quality doon tapos madami standard equipment.
Sulit nga XL7, iyon nga first choice. Swak din kasi Ecosport for city commuter duty.

Hehe.

If budget permits, I’d get the Coolray over the Ecosport.

September 10th, 2020 09:45 AM #1816Okay din Coolray as alternate ah.
Malapit ang Geely North EDSA at Geely Q. Ave. Okay sana ang after sales service.

For modern turbo engines, low viscosity fully synthetic oil is required. Better be safe than sorry.
One of my senior staff bought a Coolray this year and he had me drive it around BGC. It’s way better to drive than the Ecosport. It drives even better than my ASX. The DCT is much smoother than the dry-clutch DCT of Ford, more like VW’s DSG. The Coolray is pretty darn quick for a car its price - you can’t get any other car with an engine rated at 175hp/255Nm (this is equivalent to 2.4L NA engines on midsize cars and CUVs, or the turbo engines on the Civic RS and Focus Ecoboost) for around 1M to 1.2M.

September 10th, 2020 07:48 PM #1820I would advice sa Geely North Edsa ka at least under the distributor.
If I understood the article about the launch, ang may hawak sa Geely Q Ave is Nissan North Edsa Management, known to muck up your service works of your car.
Geely opens Q Ave dealership - Manila Standard Mobile.
Nissan Quezon Avenue - Autohub Group
Di ako nagpapaservice sa Q Ave, lagi ako sa Nissan North Edsa because of stories of friends and relatives.
