Ang aking bagong idol, Fortune's business person of the year...

It’s a great time for Ford. They have streamlined their lineup of vehicles, increased the quality of their vehicles to compete with foreign auto, turned a profit 5 quarters in a row and they did this all without any assistance from the Federal government. All this success can be linked directly to Alan Mulally the current CEO of Ford who also successfully turned around Boeing before being recruited by Ford.
All of these successes are what lead to Alan Mulally being named businessperson of the year by Fortune.

Yeah Mark Zuckenberg... Mark Zuckenberg was more on improving a growing new industry (social networking). Pero nauna pa sa kanya ang Friendster and MySpace...

Iba talaga yung kay Alan. Mahirap gawing $17B loss into $1B profit in 3 years... He took a lot of bold moves, sinanla na nya lahat pati yung blue oval logo para makautang ng $25B prior to the crisis. Many people outside of Ford thought they were desperate to do this and are in serious trouble. Of course now we know the sheer brilliance of the move and it was all done to start the restructuring process. It was enough money to see them through the crisis and continue to invest even on difficult times... That's why the Americans have responded, Ford is now the #1 car maker in the US, it used to be GM before the crisis (now even beating Toyota as well)... I also like how Alan Mulally created ONE FORD. By streamlining all the products worldwide he not only saved cost by introducing one models worldwide, but thank God he bought us those European gems...

    ALAN MULALLY IDOL!!!

But come on, the Corolla and Camry are nothing special so maskin gawin silang worldwide they are still boring worldwide. Reliable, yes but very boring. Toyota is fast becoming the "OLD GM" (General Motors and not Gen. Miting), big and arrogant... Kaya ayan recall tapos yung CEO nila inutusan pa ng US Congress to come and testify to them...

For years Ford had great cars and success in Europe and it was stuck there... Thanks to Alan we Asians now have those Euro gems here and the Americans are also thankful cause they also get the European gems of Ford. Yung US Focus is so much different to the Euro Focus its really funny they only share the same name...

Right now I like 2 carmakers. Hyundai and Ford. Both are doing a good job.
