Ford F-150 to try 2020 PH comeback, but does it make sense?

Back in the late 90's Ford PH launched the F150 here. Was sold until around 2002-2003.
Now making a comeback. Although they are not launching the Ranger Raptor's big brother, the F150 Raptor.

For me, they should launch the all-new 2020 Explorer instead. The Ranger is just right for the PH market. Or maybe Ford PH wants to get head to head with the Ram 1500 here.

The F150 is primarily gas-fed like every other US-spec pickup truck. It has a diesel engine option but most Americans use gasoline. Diesel is more expensive in the US.

Local buyers of this truck would be those who are not worried with its appetite for fuel. These people are the same ones who buy Explorers, Expeditions, Suburbans, and Escalades.

It is one good-looking truck in the flesh - big, powerful, and fast. The F150 3.5L V6 Ecoboost can easily cruise at over 80mph even with something in tow.

Yep baligtad ang pricing ng gas at diesel compared sa US. Here gas is expensive, diesel is cheaper.
Also this truck would attract buyers who already owned an F150 or Silverado and Dodge Ram pickup here. Or those who pull very heavy loads.

Hehehe. Yes that will probably happen in all Ford showrooms here. Not for the FC conscious. But maybe one for our local congressman's stable.

The Powerstroke diesel version is actually a modern, refined unit that has decent performance. Maybe better if it were a bit bigger. Not sure if it will sell with the price premium vs the gas variant. The gas variant could possibly already cost nearly 2x the price of the Ranger.

the XLT double cab(The base XL is cheaper but no power windows)without options/base engine costs more than what the chevy camaro costs when configured to match the configuration Chevy PH offers

They need to diversify their offering. Fordph's big3 sales numbers suck. Even if they offer this, this wont outsell the mustang.

Explorers wil probably cost north of 3m..
