Based on the local specs, it has a Sasquatch Package and (although not mentioned) has features that are included in the High/ Lux Package in the US. ($62K+ in the US if you start adding the options)

On the bright side, it's still cheaper than the equivalent Wrangler and about P2M less than the gray market Bronco imports.

Curious how much the all-new Prado will cost though.

Approximate 2024 USA MSRP's for the Bronco range from $39,130 for the Big Bend model (₱2,191,280.00) up to $89,835 for the full-on Raptor (₱5,030,760.00).

Judging by the press releases here, it looks like we'll be getting the Outer Banks variant which has a $47,940 MSRP (₱2,684,640.00) with the Sasquatch Package add-on which is about $7,000 (₱392,000.00).

The Ford Bronco variants in the continental US are:
    • 2024 Big Bend - $39,130
    • 2024 Bronco Black Diamond - $42,630
    • 2024 Bronco Outer Banks - $47,940
    • 2024 Bronco Badlands - $49,395
    • 2024 Bronco Heritage Edition - $47,855
    • 2024 Bronco Everglades - $55,520
    • 2024 Bronco Wildtrak - $60,025
    • 2024 Bronco Heritage Limited Edition - $69,685
    • 2024 Bronco Raptor - $89,835

The lower variants get a weaker 2.3 L EcoBoost I4 turbo, the mid variants get the 2.7 L EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo (this is what we get) while the 3.0 L EcoBoost V6 twin-turbo (400 horses) is for the top shelf Raptor model.

It seems to me Ford PH made a conscious effort to be under ₱5M for the launch, TRAIN law and profit margin included.

The Bronco is a high-demand product, I'm sure being a popular lower volume import has an impact on its higher price.

Pretty much the same thing applies to other brands like the Civic Type-R which starts under $45K in the US but is sold here for P3.87M.

PS: The Explorer Limited AWD with optional wheels (that are standard in the PH spec model) is $50K+ in the US.

It's an Outer Banks variant which appears to have the following options based on the features listed in the brochure:
    - Sasquatch Package ($6,665)
    - High/Luxury Package ($2,930)
    - V6 EcoBoost engine ($2,145)
    - Hard Top Carbonized Gray Molded-in-Color ($1,895)

Its option list is worth $13,635 (P762,619).

$47,940 + $13,635 of options equals $61,575, add the domestic US destination charge & other related fees and it goes up to $64,115.

High-demand and most likely more limited export allocations can drive the prices higher.

I believe that was mostly caused by the parts/chip shortage.

All speculations really, many factors can affect the local price, anything from limited allocations (that you need to make a profit on), then add the high excise tax. Ford will find buyers for this; it isn't for everyone.

PS: Its main rival is the Wrangler Unlimited Sahara with a 2.0 turbo and Ford is selling a loaded higher-spec Sasquatch V6 EcoBoost Bronco at a lower price. Let's see how it goes for them.

had visited one of the dealership here in the north recently.
they have an Explorer on display, but its dashboard seems outdated compared to the new Everest Titanium 4x4.
the price has also gone up since I first inquired about this car model.

I'm not sure if local unit are affected

Ford Tells Thousands Of Bronco Sport And Maverick Owners Not To Drive Over Crash Risk | Yahoo! Autos

According to the NHTSA recall report, Maverick trucks produced between March 5, 2021, and March 25, 2026, and Bronco Sport SUVs built between March 11, 2020, and April 28, 2026, may suffer from improperly assembled front lower control arm ball joints. Ford attempted to address the problem a year ago, but the affected vehicles may have been improperly repaired at the assembly plant. Either way, if the control arm detaches, drivers could easily lose control and have a severe crash, hence the Do Not Drive warning. It appears that an operator at the factory didn't correctly assemble the left front control arm ball joint, failing to fully insert the ball joint's stud into the suspension knuckle before securing a pinch bolt. So while the suspension system may have looked like it was secure, the strains of driving with weight on the ball joint can lead to the joint popping out of place, making it feel as if a wheel is loose and severely compromising steering and handling. The good news is that this should be relatively easy to fix.
