I doubt it, the new Ford plant in Thailand is expected to be capable of building other compact Fords derived from the Focus platform, that means the C-Max/ Grand-C-Max and the Kuga/Escape replacement.
PS: I think Vertrek is just the name for the concept, the same way the concept version of the current Fiesta is called Verve.

The German built Australian-spec 2012 Focus Mk3 might be a preview of the Thai-built Asia-Pacific model, because ForD Australia will switch from the German-built model to the Thai-built model next year.
I doubt we'd get the "Ambient" trim with steel wheels, the upcoming local Focus Mk3 lineup will most likely start off from the Trend trim level just like the current outgoing Mk2 model.
Australian 2012 Focus Mk3 Lineup:
Ambient
Trend
Sport
Titanium (luxury variant that replacing "Ghia' in most markets)
No EcoBoost for the initial regular Australian Focus lineup (I have a feeling it might be the same for ASEAN models)
92 Kw (125 PS) Duratec 1.6 Ti-VCT
125 Kw (170 PS) Duratec 2.0 Ti-VCT GDi
120 Kw (163 PS) Duratorq 2.0 TDCi

The 2012 Focus will be launched at the later half of 2012, while the all-new Ranger will arrive early 2012.
The all-new Explorer will arrive 4th quarter of this year.
I have a feeling the 2012 ASEAN Focus will be at next year's Bangkok Motor Show (usually held in March) same way the ASEAN Fiesta made its debut at the 2010 Bangkok Motor Show and was launched here later that year.

July 10th, 2011 09:51 AM #197nakita ko yung 2012 focus kanina and was quite disappointed. Medyo masikip sya compared to other cars in its class. Mas malaki lang ng kaunti sa rear passanger space ng fiesta + bigger trunk. Sayang ang ganda pa naman ng yellow blaze hatch

How tall are you? I'm guessing 6ft?
This 5'11" tester seems to be able to fit at the back (with the front seat adjusted to his height).
According to the 5'11" tester, knee-room is really impressive... headroom is reasonable...
I guess that means a lot more room for people shorter than 5'11".

I was just expecting more.
Pagdating ko sa bahay, nagcheck ako ng reviews sa youtube, karamihan yun din ang complain except for that guy. Nagtataka rin ako since halos pareho lang ng specs sa elantra w/c has good reviews in rear leg room (although hindi ko pa nakita interior ng elantra) then I saw this. dont know if its true.

this link shows a 5'6 guy testing 2012 focus
2012 Ford Focus back seat legroom
With the front seat adjusted for a 5'6" driver, this is how much legroom is left for a 5'6" back seat passenger.

That front seat seems to be moved way back, maybe for someone over 6'2".
Look again at the photo and video I posted, thats a 5'11" tester and you can see it clearly he has room at the back with the seats adjusted for a proper driving position (5'11" driver).
If you adjusted the front seat to your height (5'7") you'd have tons of knee-room at the back.
PS: Proper driving position, you should be able to put your wrist on the top of the steering wheel with your back and shoulders against the backrest.
Not yet..... I'm still consolidating those quotations as different dealers gave different discount...
