One Ford doesn't extend to trim and engine options. so we can't be 100% sure
The 2.0 liter DI Ti-VCT engine for example is just for North America (at least for now), other markets like in Europe get a 1.6 Ecoboost instead.
In the US, the low end Focus S and SE models have steel wheels with wheel covers, i'm sure the base model here will have alloys.
If you want the engine running, just remove the key from the hood lock and insert it back into the ignition. Its not conventional, but you'll easily get used to it when you have a Focus, just give it a month.Last edited by AG4; April 23rd, 2011 at 06:09 PM.

Ganda parin ng current focus. Very tempting not to wait for the mk3 anymore. Especially since dipa alam exactly when siya ilaunch dito.

I would wait. Iba pa rin talaga ang ONE FORD vehicle versus the pre-Mulally Ford's. Yung quality, fuel efficiency is really at a much higher level...

It might not qualify because the Mk3 Focus will be launched here next year (too late to be included for next year's COTY?).
Euro Fords have always been good, a lot of the engineering under the skin of the Mk3 Focus was carried-over from the Mk2 Focus.
"One Ford" is killing-off redundant models and making one model available globally. These are usually Euro developed Ford models.Last edited by AG4; April 25th, 2011 at 08:01 PM.

The 2012 Focus will be launched in Australia this August.
The Australian spec model will be built at Ford's Saarlouis plant in Germany, but since Ford Australia is part of Ford APA, they could switch the Thai built Focus when the Thai plant is ready next year.
*This is what they did with the Fiesta, early units were from Germany, then they switched to the Thai built model.
Could this be the preview of the ASEAN engine lineup?

2012 Ford Focus (Australian spec engine lineup)
2.0-litre Duratorq TDCi
2.0-litre DI Ti-VCT
1.6-litre Duratec Ti-VCT
*Combination of Euro and USDM engines.
In Europe, instead of the 160hp 2.0-litre DI Ti-VCT, they have a 150hp 1.6 EcoBoost.Last edited by AG4; May 3rd, 2011 at 01:51 PM.
