That reminds me, the next Kuga and next Escape will be merged into one model as part of the "One Ford" global product strategy.
Report: Ford to introduce Escape/Kuga concept in Detroit
A source within Ford Motor Company has reportedly revealed that a near-production crossover concept will be heading to the 2011 Detroit Auto Show. When this concept vehicle takes its production shape, it will serve as the replacement for the venerable Ford Escape and Kuga crossovers.
Based off of the 2012 Focus' platform, the new Escape/Kuga is expected to go into production in the second half of 2012 and be sold as a 2013 model in the United States. At this time, it is unclear as to whether or not Ford will keep both the Escape and Kuga names in the vehicles' respective markets. The automaker's "One Ford" global product strategy would call for a single name for vehicles sold in different regions, and the Blue Oval team will surely face a similar problem with the redesigned Fusion and Mondeo sedans in the near term.
We'll have the full scoop direct from the Cobo Hall in January, so stay tuned.Last edited by AG4; December 9th, 2010 at 10:27 PM.

Swerte mga Asian countries not part of Ford APA like Brunei, Singapore, Cambodia. Their Ford's are European Ford's so they get those wonderful European Ford's like Mondeo, C-Max, S-Max, and Kuga... Their Focus and Fiesta are also European so they have those 5 speed manuals for 1.6L engines and push start technology for their Fiesta's...
Mahal nga lang siguro? Magkano nga ba mga yan?

Ford Australia don't get the new model from Thailand until March 2011.
(Info from Ford Australia website)
The "S" HB model we have here is called "Zetec" there, as it is in UK.
The models they have now are still imported from Europe. Thats why they have econetic diesels, which are also not produced in Rayong.
I doubt the Aus Fiestas' will be totally supplied from thailand, as the econetic diesel is a popular choice there.

That info is only for the Fiesta Zetec model (Australian-spec Fiesta S)
"Please note that the WT Fiesta Zetec Hatch will be available from March 2011"

The standard Thai-made Fiestas (WT) is alread available in Australia. I already talked to an Australian owner who bought a Thai-built Fiesta (WT).
The only German Fiesta in the new Australian Fiesta lineup is the ECOnetic model (WS).
WT = Current Fiesta from Thailand
WS = Old Fiesta from Germany & current Fiesta ECOneticLast edited by AG4; December 10th, 2010 at 11:21 PM.
