I guess many people here are still biased towards Toyota and Honda.
Where did you get the P1.154M price?
Initial price of the Focus TDCi Powershift during the media preview/test drive (the one printed in the Motoring sections) was P1.149M, small difference so I guess it doesn't matter.
The Focus TDCi Powershift is really in a class of its own. In the Philippines its the only (non-luxury) car in the compact segment to offer a 2.0 liter diesel and a dual-clutch gearbox.
The closest Civic model that would compete with the Focus TDCi would probably be the Civic 2.0 S-L A/T which is priced at P1.13M. (Difference of only P19K)
For sedan lovers, the top Focus sedan is the E20-capable Ghia 2.0 which is priced at a very attractive P989K.
Since the Ghia model is packaged more as a "luxury" model than a "sporty" model, its direct competitor would be the P1.035M Corolla Altis 1.8V A/T.Last edited by AG4; November 6th, 2008 at 06:13 PM.

November 6th, 2008 09:37 PM #75hi AG4, thanks for the correction. so kung i-compare nga sya with 2.0li Civic. ang konti na lang talaga ng diff. anyway mabuti nga konti lang sa daan nyan eh para at least u remain in the exclusive club. pero sana Ford Phil. earns some decent profit out of it so they can continue to give us leading edge TDCI and DualClutch trannys.... oh yeah ur right, so many people still Jaded by the Honda/Toyota mentality...

Napadaan ako kanina theater mall and may display yung ford dun, isang everest and focus 1.8. Ang sabi nila sa akin mas mabilis daw kasi sinubukan daw nila side by side with M/T and powershift sa subic.
Guys can you comment about this, mga bolero ata yung mga sales rep na yun eh

If you base it on the manufacturer's figures, the TDCi Powershift model is only 0.3 sec slower to 100km/h compared to the M/T model (these are done by test drivers).
PS: Just remember those sales reps aren't race car drivers. It all depends ones driving style (and maybe skill level).
I think the acceleration times with the TDCi M/T would probably be less consistent than the TDCi Powershift which has full auto or manual +/- modes, specially when driven by someone who is not that experienced in drag racing.Last edited by AG4; November 8th, 2008 at 03:31 AM.
I've used Stainz Out and Stain Guard from Glaz (Microtex) but I noticed it made my windshield form...
