Will you eat expired food?

I'm just curious. Is it normal for households to regularly throw out food? I am NOT at all wasteful, in fact I eat expired food I know people that absolutely won't eat anything past expiration, but then, even if we try our best not to throw out anything, it still happens a lot.

I inspected our ref and I feel so bad because I had to throw out a whole cake (one slice lang nabawas), a llanera of leche flan (untouched) and a big bowl of soup. If I think about my cousins in the US, I don't feel too wasteful kasi mas malakas sila magtapon, like for example they would open a can of soda, take a few sips and leave or throw it out na. Anyway, parati ako napapagalitan ng Mommy ko for wasting food but it's not like she does not let food spoil too So I wanna know how normal is it to throw out food and clear the ref (and find a lot of food to dispose)

The bigger the ref, the more food ang pwedeng itabi. Minsan di maiiwasan magtapon, pero ako, kung may tirang pagkaen today, I make sure ilalabas ko ulit sya bukas. Ilabas ng ilabas hanggang sa maubos. Yes, nakakasawa or nakakaumay minsan pero madali kasi akong manghinayang sa pagkaeng tinatapon eh. And yes, I also eat foods past expiration as long as wala pang amag. I think I can say na sa family namin, ako ang may pinakamalakas ang sikmura sa ganun.

Yung ulam pag end of the day marami pa I eat them without rice para maubos ko kaysa ilagay sa ref. Pag marami pagkain sa ref like cakes, sandwich, etc. I don't cook for the day. Yung papa ko taga-ubos ng pagkain sa bahay.. Kapag may food na hindi naman nagustuhan ang lasa, papa ko ang kakain dahil nanghihinayang.. mahaba talaga mga patience ng lalaki.. Or papa ko lang mahaba pasensya sa amin..

OT: Yung papa ko, maayos sumandok ng pagkain, lalo na yung kanin.. Lagi flat, kapag ako lubak-lubak or minsan may part lang na may hukay (hindi gitna).. Never ako napagsabihan, pero dahil ginagawa nya obvious.. Mapapansin ko na lang at susundan ko ginagawa nya..

Nung bata ako, ang hirap ko gisingin.. Sobra!! Dumating sa point na sa sobrang asar ng papa ko sakin, tinaob nya kama ko habang tulog ako.. Akala ko nun, lumindol ng malakas.. Sumigaw ako ng malakas, nung magising ako, late na pala, mabilis ako gumayak.. Yung kama ko, naiwan na nakatagilid (ang bigat, hirap ayusin).. Kinagabihan, ang akala ng mama ko, nagdabog ako bakit daw ganun ang kama ko.. Hahahahahaha [emoji23]
